Asking and Telling Location/Direction (Where) in Japanese
In this post, i want tell you how you can ask Where?(direction) in japanese.
for ask some location, you can use Doko.
Where does Mr. Kimura live?
Kimura san ha doko ni sunde imasuka?
( きむらさんはどこにすんでいますか? )
Kimura lives in Kyouto
->Kimurasan ha kyouto ni sunde imasu.
( きむらさんはきょうとにすんでいます。 )
Where shall we meet?
Doko de aimasuka?
( どこであいますか?)
Lets meet at school
->Gakkou de aimashou.
( がっこうであいましょう。 )
Where you going when holiday?
Yasumi no toki doko e(he) ikimasuka?
( やすみのときどこへいきますか? )
I'm going to the sea(beach)
->Watashi ha umi e(he) ikimasu.
( わたしはうみえいきます。 )
Where is the station?
Eki ha doko desuka?
( えきはどこですか? )
You can go east from here to go to the station
->Koko kara higashi no hou e ikuto eki ni ikemasu.
( ここからひがしへいけばにいけます。 )
* e(he) and ni is difference.
e(he) for ask direction and ni for ask location
( Where to go?? ---> Doko e(he) ikimasuka? )
( Where does nakata live? ---> Nakatasan ha doko ni sunndeimasuka? )
East = Higashi ( ひがし )
West = Nishi ( にし )
South = Minami ( みなみ )
North = Kita ( きた )
